  • again?

I am considering getting back into this whole blogging business. Maybe it's cuz I'm up here on a hill where I don't know many people, so it'd be nice to get stuff out. Also, I can write about absolutely anything I want, even if you, the reader, doesn't like it   I can talk about completely unrelated topics in the same entry if I like and I can just ramble on and on if I so please.

    Hmm...this is sounding nice.

This week isn't sounding nice. I have 2 projects. One of my groups is frustrating me. The other is for a class I dislike for a teacher I feel the same way about. Ugh!
Whatever....one way or another, I will make it past this week and onto the next.

Here is a pic I took of me today in case any of you forgot what I look like......
um....I'll take one of me actually smiling another time.

So the world cup is more than halfway over. I have been way more into this world cup than i have with any other world cup.  Well 94'USA was the first one I watched.  So that's where my original favorites came from: Cobi Jones, Eric Wynalda, John Harkes, Alexi Lalas, USA, Bolivia, Brasil, Mexico.  98'France I remember that I watched it but not much other than that. 02'Korea/Japan I remember getting up/staying up in the middle of the night to watch games that were being broadcast live at midnight or 2am, crazy hours like that. But I only did it for the good teams. USA, Brasil, Argentina, Mexico, Germany, Japan, Korea.
Now THIS year...maybe it's cuz I'm older and have been able to further develop my passion for football for four more years, maybe it's cuz I've also been able to spend a year in a country where they live and breathe football. Maybe it's just a better one. I don't know. But I have watched sooooo many games. It could also be the fact that a couple friends and I pooled some money into guess which 2 teams from each group would go on to the round of 16. Then we also joined the Yahoo World Cup Fantasy League online. So besides having certain teams to watch, we had specific players we were especially rooting for to score us points.  It really makes the game even more exciting and I get to observe teams and players I probably wouldn't have cared much for otherwise. I LOVE it!

I'm sadly disappointed in the US team. I know we're nowhere near the best in the world, but we can play a much better football than what we showed at this world cup. But you know...now we have another four years to get the team together, stabalize the morale, etc.

My fav teams this year: USA, Brasil, Argentina, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, England, Mexico...haha... that's alot! But its also fun!
I'm watching the Italy game right now, against Australia. Italy better win. It's win or go home now. I need Pirlo, Totti, and Nesta do play well and score me points. But only Pirlo has been playing. Maybe put in the other two for the second half???
    Well....tomorrow is Brasil!!! YAY!

  • It's finally here!!!

    *~*WORLD CUP GERMANY 2006*~*
I've been waiting for this for the last 4 years!!!
I so did not get any sleep last night between coming home late and waking up at the buttcrack of dawn for the opening ceremonies.

    GERMANY 4 - 2 Costa Rica
This game was soo awesome!!!  There's a reason I was rooting for Germany and that's cuz they're amazing!
four goals! and Klose (my captain on the Fantasy Game) scored TWICE on his BDAY!

    yay for Germany!!!

    Poland 0 - 2 Ecuador

I actually had voted for Poland to win on the bet we're doing with some friends and i SOOO wish i had chosen Ecuador. I was cheering for them the whole entire game...they were really good. they did do a lot of pushing around of the other teams which isn't cool but they also played a really great game.

look at this guy! that's Poland's goalie...he's freakin hott! AND he plays soccer!

    why?

Everything was just dandy and now this. Not that it's bad, I mean it's great. But I'm also smart enough to realize what should be and that's not making me too happy.

Eew! I also did something really stupid this weekend. Sylvia! Don't EVER do that again!

On another note...Daniel came down on Saturday, so I hung out with him for a couple hours. It was soo fun! I haven't seen him since May, so it was great to catch up and eat at our designated spot....IHOP! I'm grateful for a friend like him.

I also realize I haven't written in forever. Need reasons??

#1. Nursing school....it really takes a lot of your time.

#2. Friends....hehe. I love my friends and I love hanging out with them.

Since I don't get too much free time apart from school, its fun to be with them when i can.

And yes I realize i'm horrible for not keeping up with this.  Well I need to get out and do something today. I just kinda sucks cuz LSU is having finals this week!  stupid not-same schedule.
